‘Inside Prigozhin’s Wagner, Russia’s Secret War Company’, is a 40-minute long documentary by the Wall Street Journal that traces the Wagner Groups’ evolution from a small, guns-for-hire operation into a sprawling network of businesses that has been active on four continents.
My participation in the making of the documentary was focused on providing close support OSINT research to the Wall Street Journal team namely on identified Wagner Group mercenaries wanted for war crimes for their roles in attacks against civilians in Motyzhyn, Ukraine. This was achieved through searches against my own Wagner Group material which includes names of up to 12,000 mercenaries and Wagner Group-aligned fighters; and key selectors including their callsign names. All of which was enabled using YOSE by Paliscope.
Additionally, support provided to the Wall Street Journal included active geo-monitoring of several conflict areas to identify Wagner Group mercenaries. This was achieved through the deployment of Telepathy Pro by Prose Intelligence Ltd, and the analysis of Telegram User IDs present in areas of interest including Bakhmut, Soledar, and major population centres within the occupied regions of Ukraine.
