Wie Deutsche für Putin in den Krieg ziehen [How Germans go to War for Putin] is a investigative special report by RTL Nachtjournal that made in collaboration with an international team of journalists. The special report focused on 51 individuals from Western Europe, including Germany, who have fought for various pro-Russia militias in Ukraine. Some of the individuals investigated included several fighters who had returned home without charge.

The work undertaken in support of this special report by RTL was based on the same list of named foreign fighters compiled by me through detailed research based on data from the Myrotvorets Research Center, InformNapalm, OSINTBees, in addition to my own OSINT collection and analysis.

Additionally, close support OSINT research was provided to facilitate the analysis of social media profiles connected to the named individuals in question and their social connections to other named fighters including those from the Wagner Group and their aligned proxies.
