Featured in Kalla Fakta [Cold Facts]

Investigative journalism team Kalla Fakta [Cold facts] of Sweden’s TV4 conducted a two-part documentary focusing on the Wagner Group and their connections to Sweden.

The first of the two-part documentary focused on the work undertaken by me – namely the mapping of over 8000 men that are named members of the Wager Group and their proxies. My support to the Kalla Fakta team further entailed the provision of insight into how the Wagner Group was used in the annexation of the Crimean peninsula, in Syria and in several conflict-ridden countries in Africa.

Additionally, key insight into social media usage by the Wagner Group and their members was provided; namely the fact that the Wagner Group has rules that say the mercenaries’ social media accounts must be deleted. But despite that, many publish pictures where they pose with weapons and show off their lifestyle – most likely a tactic employed by the Wagner Group and their aligned proxies to attract new recruits.
